Visitor's Guide to Taiwan This site is mainly in English and it has web pages on all the different regions of Taiwan. This is a good first site to visit because it has lots of good descriptions of the major cities as well as various points of interest.

Hotels and Motels in Taiwan A commercial site, so there aren't any listings of the cheaper hostels, but you can make online reservations at most of the better hotels in Taiwan here.

Travel in Taiwan Monthly Magazine A very good site to check out cultural activities, festivals and holidays. It also has some fairly good advice about what to bring and not to bring with you. Every month, there is also an interesting section on some aspect of living in Taiwan that is usually pretty good.

Travel 123 A site specifically for foreigners touring in Taiwan

Radio Stations, News, and Music
International Community Radio Taiwan(ICRT) The largest radio station in Taiwan, ICRT is a mainstream station that plays mostly top 40 mixed in with Taiwan top 40 music. You can e-mail your favorite DJ's and place song requests. It's mostly in English, and you can hook up to the station via the Internet. You will probably have to download some software, but the instructions are simple and straightforward at the site.

TURC FM A Chinese radio station. Go to this site only if your browser can read Chinese.

Asian Music Although this site is from Singapore, it's a good site for you to listen to song samples of what groups from all over Asia are doing these days. If you have a fast connection, there are many song samples that you can listen to.

Kaohsiung City Government The official Kaohsiung city government site. Everything you wanted (or didn't want) to know about Kaohsiung. Quite candid for an official site. The introduction of Kaohsiung section is particularly informative
